Celebrating creators and innovators of all kinds, Bumbershoot breaks stereotypes, champions a more inclusive art community, and bets on the dreamers, makers, and performers who call the Pacific Northwest home. It is Seattle’s moss-covered Mardi Gras, daring everyone to join in the spectacle.
In addition to a killer music lineup chockful of artists that appeal to every generation, Bumbershoot has an incredibly expansive visual arts lineup and culinary arts lineup to make each day an exciting, brand new experience. Explore the festival’s various Districts, like the Century 21 District featuring large-scale sculptures and an immersive “Songs for Space” partnership with NASA or the Animation District where you can watch and weigh in on a Bigfoot Deepfake Competition. Head to the Recess District to witness a skateboard contest on a newly commissioned half pipe and Bumbermania: a WWE-style smackdown or the Fashion District to zhuzh up your closet with something vintage or avant garde. There will be a Cat Circus! And a Wig Farm! And a Comedy Dome! And a Kissing Booth! And art exhibitions! And so much more!
