Forty years ago in December 1984, the Wildrose opened its doors, and it remains a cherished cornerstone of the community today. Through triumphs and trials, this iconic lesbian bar has endured as a welcoming home for generations of patrons, staff, and supporters. It’s the people who have danced, laughed, shared stories, and rallied to preserve this space that have kept the Wildrose alive. In an era when so many queer spaces have disappeared, the gratitude for its lasting presence runs deep.
